Students in our two undergraduate majors have interests that range across the biological sciences. To connect them with us and the world, we offer two, first-year professional development courses where students meet one another and hear from integrative biology faculty and other biological science professionals. The courses also explore the wealth of professional experiences for students to integrate with their degree program.
Integrative Biology Club
The Integrative Biology Club (IBC) provides a fun social outlet for students while exposing them to Oregon and current issues in biology. Participants meet biological science professionals and learn about careers and opportunities for students in varied fields of biology. Activities include hiking, coast trips, invited speakers and much more.

OSU Ocean11
Ocean11 is Oregon State University's marine club comprised of students from all 11 colleges working, playing, exploring, learning, and serving together to experience and make a difference with our ocean and coasts.
OSU Pre-Med Society
We aim to gather students interested in becoming physicians or other healthcare professionals and provide them with the resources and skills necessary to succeed.
Interested students may also elect to get involved in the Integrative Biology Club, or one of the over 300 other student clubs at OSU. Other opportunities we are aware of are posted on our major listservs which automatically post weekly to currently enrolled biology and zoology majors.
Trio Student Support Services (TRiO SSS) is a support program for undergraduate students that are first-generation, low-income, or have documented disabilities. The program provides academic counseling, tutoring and peer mentorship, social enrichment opportunities and more.
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is dedicated to increasing the number of traditionally underrepresented students successfully completing science, technology, engineering and mathematics baccalaureate degrees.
SOL: LGBTQ+ Multicultural Support is an inclusive, welcoming community with events, educational programming and student advocacy and support for queer/trans people of color.
The College of Science strives to promote a healthy student community, especially among first-year students who may be struggling to find their place on campus. OSU offers many resources to help build a healthy community for its students, including outreach programs for a variety of college health issues. Many of the programs target the most common concerns and interests facing college students.
