Rachel Ann Blood (Zoology ‘19) has put both her Spanish minor and science major to use. She studied abroad as part of a Costa Rican Tropical Ecology and Conservation Program, volunteered at Chintimini Wildlife Center and worked as a technician in a horticultural lab.

Internships and volunteering
Biology and zoology majors can apply their learning in real-world environments extending from human and animal health to work in field and laboratory settings. Students can also obtain credit (BI 309, 406, 409 or 410) for approved experiences.

Learn advanced research methods, acquire problem-solving skills, and learn to think like a scientist by working in one of our many labs on and off-campus. Students can also obtain credit (BI 401) for approved experiences.
