From natural history to marine science and pre-medicine, biology and zoology students can join a wide variety of clubs to network with professionals, deepen their learning and explore careers.
Study abroad
Do tropical research in Panama. Explore community-based medicine in Ecuador. Rehabilitate cheetahs in Namibia. Choose from more than 70 programs that fully integrate with your major.
Internships and volunteering
Biology and zoology majors can apply their learning in real-world environments extending from human and animal health to work in field and laboratory settings. Students can also obtain credit (BI 309, 406, 409 or 410) for approved experiences.
Research
Learn advanced research methods, acquire problem-solving skills, and learn to think like a scientist by working in one of our many labs on and off-campus. Students can also obtain credit (BI 401) for approved experiences.
