The advising guides below are important tools for academic planning, but MyDegrees remains the official student checklist. Any declared majors, minors and options are tracked in MyDegrees based on the catalog year a student declares them (see catalog rights policy). Updated versions of majors and options are outlined in the new advising guides, but students will need to opt into those versions as appropriate.

Options and career guides
Options require a net of 15 additional credits or less and are restricted (but not required) for students in the biology major. Declaring an option may alter some biology major electives — see the option guides or MyDegrees for details.
