January 13 marked the grand opening of the Biosphere, an undergraduate study and community space just down the hall from the IB office. Integrative Biology Club officers were on hand to greet visitors during the afternoon. IB Chair Virginia Weis spoke on behalf of the department and said she is excited that IB is finally able to have this type of room available for our students. It will be conducive to small group meetings, discussions and collaborative learning, as well as a welcoming & quiet place to study or use a computer. The room is decorated with biology-themed posters, as well as student artwork. Stop by 3019 Cordley and have a look!
